Beyond Trial Advocacy: Bayuk Pratt’s Commitment to Our Community

At Bayuk Pratt, we strive for more than just excellent results in serious injury cases and civil law litigation. Our law firm cares deeply about Atlanta and its communities. This is where we have chosen to call home and raise our families. That’s why we make it a point to volunteer and support local organizations that truly make a difference in our neighbors’ everyday lives.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community as a firm and individuals. These are some of the many ways we are active outside of our law office doors.

Atlanta Legal Aid Society’s ALAS Holiday Project: Sharing the Christmas Spirit

The Christmas season is meant to bring “Joy to the World.” Sadly, many families in Atlanta find themselves unable to afford to celebrate. So all of us at Bayuk Pratt open our hearts and our wallets as donors and participants in the ALAS Holiday Project. This program, run by the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, allows us to “adopt” a family and buy presents for their children. We love being able to offer good tidings and cheer!

Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia: Fighting for LGBTQIA+ Rights

Since 1995, the Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia (SBA) has provided support and guidance to members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This coalition is made up of legal workers who use their professional expertise to support the civil rights of gay, transgender, and other people who experience sexual or gender orientation discrimination. As a mentor and supporter for the SBA, Frank Bayuk helps guide LGTBQIA+ law students as they pursue their legal careers.

Morehead Cain Foundation: Developing the Next Generation of Leaders

Our law firm has some of the sharpest minds in law, including Christopher “Christy” Lambden. He was a proud Morehead-Cain scholar at University of North Carolina during his undergrad years. Now Christy is regularly involved in selecting new scholars for UNC’s program, using his experience and acumen when assessing candidates. He’s also hosted and mentored a Morehead-Cain scholar as a summer intern for Bayuk Pratt.

Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques at Emory Law: Building Up Tomorrow’s Lawyers

We at Bayuk Pratt are no strangers to the heat of courtroom battle. But there’s a lot that goes into it. Our lawyers want the legal profession’s new blood to understand essential — and innovative — trial tactics and practice strategies. We do so in Emory Law’s Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques, where Frank Bayuk is a faculty member and Christy Lambden is an adjunct professor and mock trial coach.

North Atlanta High School Mock Trial: Developing and Nurturing Confidence

For over five years, Christy Lambden has helped students develop the confidence they need for real-world skills such as public speaking and how to structure an argument. As lead attorney coach for North Atlanta’s mock trial team, he’s helped the squad succeed at competitions, including placing in the top 16 in the state of Georgia and advancing out of their region for three years.

Additional Community Organizations We Support

  • National Institute of Trial Advocacy – Christy Lambden is a faculty member for deposition and trial programs at this institution, which improves and enhances advocacy and trial skills for attorneys of all levels of experience.
  • Atlanta Legal Aid Society – Bradley Pratt is a member of the Advisory Committee to Board of Directors for this organization, which assists low-income residents with their legal matters.
  • Peachtree Road United Methodist Church – As a volunteer sports coach, Frank Bayuk provides the church’s young athletes leadership, mentorship, and encouragement. He also does coaching for many other youth teams throughout the Atlanta area.
  • Buckhead Church – Frank Bayuk is a general supporter of many of this religious institution’s outreach programs, including donating money and volunteering to help Atlanta’s homeless and less fortunate.
